[TRANS] Tohoshinki for「Nikkei Entertainment」May Issue: Editor’s Note and Interview Side Stories

NIKKEI ENTERTAINMENT Editor's Note on TOHOSHINKI appeared on the cover of the magazine

I met with the staff of TOHOSHINKI at the TV station in their dressing room. There was a knock on the door and it was Yunho-san.

The staff told Yunho-san, "Room Number X is available." Yunho-san understood immediately what was going on and said, "Okay, It is Room Number X" and he closed the door. I could get the glimpse of their "comfortable/friendly" relationship through the brief conversation.

In order to have activities in Japan, the members (TOHOSHINKI) had started by watching/observing how the stage set were built and removed from the venue. They understood/experienced by their owns that "Why we could stand on stage is all because of the hard work of these staffs." Therefore, I believe that they can give kind words to their staffs, like, "Please take care of yourself." so easily and naturally. And those people who received such words from them knew very well that these words are not superficial but from their hearts.

When we finished the meeting and came out of the corridor, I saw Yunho-san talking to a female staff, "Ah! did you get hair cut?" The female staff felt shy.. and everyone else was teasing her… I think such a communication power/skill like Tamori-san (TV celebrity- the host of Music Station, used to be the host of Waratte-iitomo and he is brilliant/funny in conversation) is the strength/power of TOHOSHINKI that attract everyone. Most likely I am already mesmerized by the power, because I just finish editing the interview.. but I already start thinking, "I cannot wait for the next opportunity to work together!"

NIKKEI ENTERTAINMENT! TOHOSHINKI INTERVIEW SIDE STORIES

1. The photographer for the cover and interview pictures is Baku Kobayashi who has been taking their pictures since their debut in Japan. Yunho-san said, "I can't believe this! You are kidding me!" and could not hide how happy he was because they had not seen each other for awhile. Changmin-san said, "Whaaa!" with full smile on his face. Please enjoy their masculine/manly shots and cute&relaxed shots.
2. The photo/cut appeared on the first page of the interview in this issue.. they were on a bench.. The two composed the posing while checking themselves in the camera. The posing of Yunho-san sitting reflects how flexible/lithe/svelte he is as a dancer. 
3. The interview by Entertainment! is so long and they seemed to become feeling a bit peckish. They had vegetable juices and healthy snacks that the editorial office purchased at a convenience store. We actually had gorgeous/expensive food gifts too.. but they picked some ordinary items.. our editorial office felt, "this actually is something common among celebrities."
4. The day when we interviewed them was on the day that was in the middle of their birthdays. So we gave them a heard-shaped red cake with a chocolate plate with a writing "Yunho WITH Changmin". As soon as Changmin-san noticed it, "Whaa~! It is too cute to have a bite." He was so delighted as if he blossomed for the cake like a flower.
