[NEWS] 150227 K-pop Star #YUNHO Opens School in Ghana

A school named after U-Know Yunho of the K-pop duo TVXQ has opened in a small town in Ghana.

The singer and his fans donated money to help build the school, the Yunho Education Center, which will accommodate about 200 students.

The international relief organization Food for the Hungry said Yunho decided to participate in the project after visiting Ghana last March for a charity TV show, “Road for Hope.”

Food for the Hungry, the International Relief Organization, revealed on 23rd that it held a ceremony for the completion of 'U-Know Yunho Educational Center' in Ghana, West Africa, with the sponsorship of U-Know Yunho and his fans. U-Know Yunho was appointed as the honorary embassador for 'Food for the Hungry' in March, 2014, after becoming associated with 'Food for the Hungry' while filming KBS's 'Road for Hope' in Ghana, west Africa, in 2013 with the organization and doing volunteer activities.

[TRANS/PIC] 150223 'Thank you Korea, Thank you Yunho' - The Completion of the Yunho Education Centre in Ghana

On the 23rd, International relief organization Food for the Hungry has revealed the completion ceremony of the 'Yunho Education Centre'. This was built in Ghana, Africa, under the auspices of TVXQ's Yunho and his fans. About 200 children are studying here including provision of meals.

More on the Yunho Education Centre 


The 'Yunho Education Centre' was built fro donations collected from fans for Yunho's debut anniversarry or birthday. It was completed on the 20th, The centre is located in northernmost Ghana. It is to provide a 'learning environment as well as a training centre'. As the area also does not have enought to eat, in the future 200 local children will be studying in this place and be provided with a meal.
