Q: You played a role of Moo Suk, a royal soldier, Did you have any difficulty or put some efforts in taking a part in the period drama?
YH: It was my first period drama so I was a little nervous in the beginning. However, I did not think that I have to play the role in the fashion suited to a period drama, rather I wanted to play the role of Moo Suk so I took Moo Suk's character into consideration first. Moo Suk keeps his emotion deep in his heart, so you may think that he is not an interesting character. I thought about why Moo Suk became like that and focused on that part. The quieter he became, the more the reason why he shut himself and live his life was unravelled, when he met with his younger sister, In Hwa. I wanted to express such emotions.. There is also something cute in Moo Suk.
Q: How did you think about that Changmin-san of Tohoshinki's song was played in Moo Suk's part of the drama?
If I were not playing the role in this drama, I thought that I sang the song with Changmin together. Because Changmin sang the song, it sounds different from other songs. I knew Changmin's voice so well that I understand how Changmin felt while singing the song. The Diary of A Night Watchman is a really interesting story. I am excited so please enjoy it.

Actors Jung Il Woo and Jung Yunho have caused the small screens to turn heartwarming with their special guy-guy chemistry.
As the 2-top casting of the both of them gathered a lot of anticipation before the drama's first broadcast, there was also concern at the same time. Although Jung Il Woo had achieved not bad ratings results with his weekend drama "Golden Rainbow", these were also untested aspects as to whether such success will be able to have an influence on a Monday-Tuesday drama. In Jung Yunho's case, everybody's curiosity was piqued as to whether he would be able to display more mature acting abilities compared to his previous production, "Yawang". However, Jung Il Woo and Jung Yunho both displayed their stable skills and received passing results for their acting and compared to anything else, the unexpected chemistry shown by the both of them added to the pleasure of watching the drama.

[NEWS] 141022 ′The Night Watchman′s Journal′ Concludes at the Top
Aside from a few times, MBC′s The Night Watchman′s Journal stayed on top of the ratings charts for Monday and Tuesday night, and its finale episode was no different.
For its last episode on October 21, The Night Watchman′s Journal recorded 12.5 percent, a good result in a time of ratings drought.
While it finished first in TV ratings, The Night Watchman′s Journal was not free of criticism with reporters and viewers pinpointing its disappointing production and obvious storyline. Some praised the actors for making the drama what it became in the end.
Following The Night Watchman′s Journal will be Pride and Prejudice, starring Baek Jin Hee and Choi Jin Hyuk.

Q: thoughts on welcoming the last filming
Yunho: For today like this... it has come to the last broadcast. Now, I am of course running towards the finale. There are many aspects which I find extremely a pity. In addition, right at the start, the time when I had been doing the script reading seemed like just a couple of days ago, the 4-month long journey seemed to have passed by in the blink of an eye. To the extent of how it is difficult to express it in just one sentence, my feelings feel complicated. Yeah to that extent, it seems like it was a production where there had been many good memories.
Q: What is the thing you want to do the most after ending the filming?
Yunho: First and foremost, if I were to say something, I want to sleep. The reason being... not just me alone, but all the staff, from all of them to the actors appearing in the drama, we worked together so... because we started out by filming one scene by one scene, to that extent, it also makes me think, wasn't their sleep all inadequate? To that extent, I thought that this was a production which was filled with even more passion.
Q: words to the viewers
Yunho: First and foremost, through the role of Moo Seok, I felt many things, so no matter how I see it, I felt the word called an "actor", as an actor (presenting to) to everybody an even more good and genuine side of me. I seemed to have said this at the production press conference at the start. I worked very hard for the people keeping watch over me, and regarding that aspect, and because everybody gave me many positive reviews, I am extremely thankful, and in the future, through this production, I want to greet everybody as an even more genuine actor

I wish to convey my greetings of gratitude together with huge applause to all the staff of "Journal of Night Watchmen" who had gone through a lot of hardships, and in the future, I will work diligently and I will work even harder in order to show everybody genuine acting."

[NEWS] 141021 Yunho Develops to Become a True Actor
Singer-actor Yunho gained attention for his development as a true actor through MBC drama “The Night Watchman.”
In the drama, Yunho plays the role of Moosuk, Joseon’s finest and loyal swordsman. In general, the actor received praise for taking a big step in his acting career through the drama. He effectively portrayed his character by managing extreme action scenes and conveying the delicate emotions of his character in a natural way.
With only one episode yet to be broadcast, fans of Yunho and viewers of the drama are now anticipating the actor’s active role in the drama along with other night watchmen.
“It seems just like yesterday that I first participated in the group script-reading, but I have now finished my four-month journey. Through the role Moosuk, I was able to develop once more,” Yunho was quoted as saying.
“The character’s loyalty gave me a lesson in life. I will try to become a more sincere person and develop to be a better actor. I thank all the staff members of ‘The Night Watchman’ who worked hard for us,” the actor added.
After the drama, Yunho will focus on his career as a member of boy band TVXQ, preparing for the live concert tour, “TVXQ! SPECIAL LIVE TOUR - T1ST0RY-,” scheduled for December. The group will hold the dome tour in Japan in February 2015, to celebrate its 10th anniversary.
The last episode of Yunho’s drama “The Night Watchman” will be broadcast on Tuesday at 10 p.m on MBC.
